At David Proett Photography, we help clients to remember their special moments over and over again!! We specialize in Weddings, Portraits, High School Seniors, and Newborns and other Special Events.
We try to make photography a fun and enjoyable experience. From the formal portraits with studio lighting to candid shots, we try to capture the fun and emotion of the event.
All contracts are customized to each client’s needs and budget. In many cases, we come to you. We find that people are more comfortable in their own home or at a near by park. This is particularly true for newborns and small children. Even high school seniors have their favorite places. And engagement or bridal photos can be taken at a place with particular meaning to you.
We shoot all digital images. All images are backed up on DVDs and stored in a firebox within 24 hours of when the photos are taken.

As a seasoned wedding photographer in Richmond, Virginia, we will come to your site before the big day, at the same time of day as when the wedding will take place. This gives me an opportunity to look for photo opportunities and to better understand the photography technical requirements.

To ensure the best possible portraits, please avoid clothing with patterns, bright colors, prints, and logos. Generally speaking, the darker the clothing, the better. Finally, please avoid sleeveless garments. Generally, long sleeves work the best, even in warmer months.
High School Seniors Richmond, Virginia
Taking pictures of High School Seniors is a special event that will be remembered for years to come by parents and seniors unlike. This is always the official portrait that will be used for the yearbook, but what makes them special is capturing the Senior in their own environment with the things that are so important to them. Typically, senior pictures are the first time for many seniors that they get to express their own personality apart from the parents. It is almost a right of passage.
Newborns
Portraits of your children hold a special place in your heart and we have a collection that chronicles the first year of their life that you will always cherish. This collection includes four on-site photo sessions each for one hour. Each session comes with eight wallet size, two 5X7, and one 8X10. The child should be at least three months old for the first session, six months old or able to sit up for the second session, nine months old or able to stand up while holding on to something for the third session.
