Black & White Couples

This is an image of a bride on her Wedding day with her Mother and Father. This is something that the Bride really wanted, but didn’t think was possible. The reason being that her Mother had died of cancer six months earlier. A friend of the Bride approached me to see if something could be created. See provided me digital images of the Bride’s Mother and Father from an earlier wedding and the digital images from the Brides wedding and I went to work. The Mother and Father were selected out of their images. The Bride and Groom for selected out of their images. The Bride and Groom flipped horizontally so they would be facing the Mother and Father. Father’s suit changed to match the Groom’s suite, flowers and boutonnieres cloned and inversed. The entire image converted to black and while and then the flower revealed back to their original color. Finally the background was swapped. All in all, nine images where modified and combined to create this images. It was printed on canvas and delivered to the Bridge along with Kleenex. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
