This wedding image was taken in Lexington, Virginia on the campus of Virginia Technical Institute (VMI) on May 26, 2008.
The couple had met in Lexington and had their first date in Lexington, so the town had a special meaning to the couple. The weather was awesome and the unmistakable VMI buildings in the background made it very obvious where the wedding took place.
The Bride and Groom took a carriage ride from the Chapel where they were married to the reception which was in downtown Lexington.
The Groom had not gone to VMI, but he had done some work for the school in the past. Once the Bridge and Groom got engaged they looked into the possibility of getting married in the Chapel. This privilege is generally limited to alumni of VMI, but they were able to get permission from the school due to the Grooms past association.
The Wedding was beautiful and the carriage ride topped off an memorable day.
