Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
This great organization raises funds to support research to both manage individuals who have Cystic Fibrosis and well as research that may some day find a cure for this terrible disease. I photograph several events for this organization throughout the year. This images are provided to the foundation at no charge to be used on their website, during the events, in social media and in promotional materials.
Special Olympics
Special Olympics chapters across the country hold various events where individuals with challenging conditions compete with each other and themselves to achieve amazing things. They also have several fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for their cause. The event that I had assisted with the last couple of years is call “Over the Edge” where folks repeal 400 feet from the top of the Sun Trust tower in downtown Richmond, VA
Foundation Fighting Blindness
The urgent mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. is to drive the research that will provide preventions, treatments and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration, Usher syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
NILMDTS
Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep is a wonderful non profit foundation that provides images of newborns who are stillborn or not expected to survive. The photos are a way to help grieving families remember their children and heal. These photographs are taken by professionals who donate their time and are at no cost to the family.
Mended Little Hearts
For families with children who live with heart defects and disease, Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia is a support network providing education, advocacy, awareness, and outreach.
Positive Vibe Cafe’
Positive Vibe Foundation prepares people with cognitive or physical disabilities for paid employment in the food service industry. We accomplish our mission by training and employing people with disabilities at Max’s Positive Vibe Café.
